I’m no closer to closing my Ecademy account despite emailing support
The Ecademy wars seem to be rolling on. How do I know this? Because despite categorically switching OFF notifications I’m still getting an email every time someone else posts in the latest argument thread. So that option doesn’t work.
And it’s day 4 in my quest to quit Ecademy. At the weekend, I used the Ecademy ‘support’ option to request detailed information how I could close my account, since there are no options anywhere on the site allowing me to do this.
Guess what? No response. No ‘Your Support Request has been acknowledged’. Nothing.
I really don’t want to go back in there and have to commit Ecademy suicide. It could be messy. Hey! Maybe that’s what all those childish, small-minded egos in there are actually trying to do! Now I understand.

Did you get an answer?

Hope that helps.
Lols – Greg, thanks for that! By chance, I discovered the same link about 3 days ago and went and deleted my account… Intend to blog about it. Apparently the account doesn’t get deleted someone said.. you just go there, log back in and hey-Facebook-presto! It’s there. Haven’t tried it myself but wouldn’t surprise me
Hi guys
thanx for the post and the link to close ecademy a/c. however, there is a problem. either ecademy guys have pusposely jammed this link or may be too many people are trying to close their a/c; which seems quike unrealistic for a site that handles millions of users on its servers. Now when i click on delete my account link, I get “Server busy” or “Cannot display page” errors. I have tried doin this at different hours of different days and yet the same problem. I wont give up on this, however. But its surprising how company like ecademy can behave in such unprofessional way. THEY SUCK!
Hi Praveen
No social network wants to lose its members or their content, so its no surprise if/when they make it difficult to leave. Facebook tries to do it using emotional blackmail (didn’t stop me heh heh). And as for ‘unprofessional’… I don’t know about you, but I’m swamped with ‘respectable’ companies who do unprofessional things like spamming without ‘unsubscribe’ links all the time. ‘Unprofessional’ seems to be the norm online.
