I have read through lots of the comments and had a really good laugh,when are you writing the TV series as I am sure it would have a wide audience.need to get a good script writer, the inside story, then how the public react to the mail, informing them of their winnings. Paul Whitehouse would be great.

Thank you for the email,these people should be piddled on from a great height,or at least flogged in public for all the worry they have caused some people.I did get a DIGITAL CAMERA.VGA(640X480)PIXELS which I would be ashamed to give to a child, as the modern child is too sophisticated for such tat, there was no name on the package so perhaps it was from those scum bags ?

Hi Phil – give it try and tell us step by step how much you lose (in addition to more than £1 worth of stamps!). You’re giving them hard currency when you give them stamps remember.

I’m curious about these type of junk mail flyer.

The one I received says you can claim by phone, txt or write. So obviously if you phone or txt you letting yourself in for a big bill. But what if you send vial the mail a stamped addressed envelope for them to tell you what you’ve won and the code number?

Then again by post, mail them the claim form. So far it’d only cost you at most three second class stamps. Or am I missing the point somewhere? If they tell you you’ve won the TV or the car do they then charge you loads to deliver it to you? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Hi Carole lols the problem is that a part of the public clearly ARE cretins – to the tune of £14m of profit from these ‘promotions’. It’s a shame, but it’s true – otherwise they wouldn’t be making so much money. Keep on doing your bit to raise awareness and persuade others NOT to fall for this…

Received a number of these letters now, 2 last reminders so far. Its actually quite funny looking at the list of winners on the Mcintyre and Dodd website (http://www.mcintyreanddodd.com/winners/) , Im sure alot of them are either from obituaries or are of criminals, some look like they were taken in the 1980s and most dont exactly look that cheerful considering they have just won a prize. Luckily for me I have a wood burning stove and these letters are quite useful, so keep them coming as far as Im concerned, winter is on the way.
