Simple dont reply, its a worthles directory & a scam to get a significant amount of cash out of you. You can submit your business to either google business listings or if you have a website http://www.dmoz.org. Do not give your money/time to these scammers

Do it like in Mexico: simply don’t pay and let them loose their money in lawyers. They will spend more money than you in trying to scam you. Don’t be afraid of “legal letters”, they can’t do anything out of their jurisdiction.

Hi, like everyone else reporting on this scam, I can’t give legal advice.

Look carefully at the site I’ve linked to in the post. You’ll see that so far, it appears that these people have never tried to take any one to court.

They rely on bullying – fear – to get money.

What’s the worst that could happen? The very worst is you might go to court where I suspect that a judge would consider you (and thousands of others) to have been ripped off.

DearCaine,
I fell into this trick a few months ago. When was initially appeared like a very innocent NGO/CSR reach out programme turned to be very nasty. I received an letter from their lawyer asking for the payment GBD1003. We are just a house-based company in the third world. There is no way that we can come up with that kind of money.
Do you think it is ok for us to just ignore the lawyers’s letter. What worse could it possibbly happen to us?
